This photgraph was taken near Port Hardy at the north end of Vancouver Island.
This area is one of the best places to dive in the North Pacific. Nutrient rich
waters provide a perfect place for marine life to thrive. Marine animals often
grow to great sizes in this area.
Kelp is ubiquitous in the northern pacific during the summer months. It can
be seen on the surface of the water bobbing around in great masses.
