bank of Leyden jars.  They act like capacitors, value is 12 jars. Used with a tapped inductance called a jigger to resonate the antenna.

This is our original Marconi equipment in the Titanic radio room of the 1996 George C. Scott television movie "Titanic". Unfortunately this room went down with the ship. We did manage to retain the Carpathia radio room and it houses our spark collection.

very rare Canadian Marconi 2843 receiver. Uses 8 galena crystals. Complete and working.
