Like a set of Pirelli tires, 50 steam rolls on this Joint. Shit, his feature reminds me of 2003 when he was relevant and controlled the game. Fast forward a couple of years and how times have changed. Oh yeah, Pusha T drops good bars too!
Mixing it up tonight and presenting some Europen flair. As soon as I heard this joint, I liked it instantly. Enjoy!
Bob Sinclar - Far l'amore!
Here is some knowledge for your mind. In case you don't know, it's bombs over Libya as of late and here is the reason for it. It is not oil, that's just a bonus prize. The reason why I say this is Libya only accounts for around 5% of the worlds oil exports. But it is a bigger player in the gold market and this Libyan invasion is all about the "currency" trade. Check the video for more information:
This is one crazy trailer for the snowboarding movie "Art of Flight" which comes out September 8. Even if you're not a board junkie, the cinematography is purely amazing. It comes care of the Phantom Flex high-speed camera system and the Cineflex V14 gyro-stabalized system. The results are simply stunning.
I'm so impressed with Carter 4 that I had to post. I'm shocked too because I'm not a Lil Wayne fan. So the first J is a Tech Ni9ne & Andre 3000 Interlude. The second is the controversial J where Wayne disses J...Z that is. Oh boy.
I was browsing through my music folder and came across this kick ass remix of INXS. I love both of these, so put your guns in the sky.
The movie hits theaters in summer 2012 and also features Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. Morgan Freeman reprises his role as Lucius Fox, and Michael Caine returns as Alfred, Bruce Wayne's trusted butler and adviser. FYI, this epic movie will be featuring Batman's greatest adversaries: Bane.
DJ "We Da Best" Khaled is at the feature tonight. I'm actually digging this J and the song has already reached Gold status with 500K copies sold after only 6 weeks. Busta Rhymes chimed in at the plaque ceremony:
He got the plaque quick, it's a motherfucking movie, four weeks, two weeks in June and 4 weeks in July, 6 weeks, that shit is amazing, I'm proud of this shit right here, playboy.
Shout out to @OMGitsOmie for posting this video on another medium.
Hause musiq @ the Hause tonite. Do I even need to write anything when it's Deadmau5. It's here so it's D.O.P.E.
Conscious Hip-Hop at the Hause today. The new Ice Cube of this decade: Killer Mike. Love his energy and message that actually showcases real shit. This is what Hip-Hop used to be. D.O.P.E.
Love this freestyle. RIP Proof.
Red Nation is upon ya. Game's album was supposed to be out be he said he's waiting for Detox to emerge first. This ain't good for our Good Music. In the meantime, here is a Good single.
Holy shit I've been away for a while. But today I'm putting up a D.O.P.E. video by the group Duck Sauce. Good Music y'all.
The fateful March 9, 1997 when we lost the second hip-hop icon, only six months after Tupac was gunned down in Vegas.
I think 50 summed up the post-biggie years perfectly: "We can't find biggie's killer, so we gave puffy a star."
Another single from the upcoming chronic album being released 4.20.2011
This pretty much says it all about 50's bullshit crying game over getting no respect from Dre over his sleek headphone deal. Looks like get rich or die tryin' has just expired.
Boy I've been away for a bit but today I'm back with a joint featuring dude from the Chi and D-O-double-G. Always a classic collabo and you can for sure bang this on Lakeshore Drive or anywhere in Cali. Love the "southern" feel in the instrumental and this is for sure certified D.O.P.E. or in this case Platinum!.
I got a banger for ya'll tonight. It's been a while since I had a joint from the derty south and this once comes care of Slim Thuga. Add a little sticky icky from Devin The Dude and this may as well be Detox.
P.S: Omar, in case you don't know who Devin The Dude is - listen to Chronic 2001. LOL
I had to jump into this stuuuupid stray Hip-Hop news. In case you missed it, Ja Rule is going to jail for a 2007 incident where he was caught with a loaded handgun. Actually this is the same night Lil Wayne was arrested and he of course just finished doing his time for this.
Here is the definition of a garbage artist: Soulja Boy. Now the reason I even raise this point is because he is trying to take credit for Will Smith's daughter hit single "Whip my Hair". Now this muthafucka can't make good music and/or money so he's claiming he's a ghostwriter. I think Snoop but it best: "Bitch Please!"
Tonight I'm featuring a dance/house mix. It's a biggie @ 40Mb. But I likey.
Happy New Year all you music heads!!. It's hard to believe another year has blown by and we still do not have Detox. LOL. But on a second note, I'm really digging the boy Diggy Simmons. D.O.P.E. ya dig.
My apologies for the lack of uploads lately. I've been lazy since I'm on my mini vacation but I felt like uploading a goody from Eminem, DRE, Jay-Z and 50. How's that for end of year lineup.
I particularly like the lyrics behind this song, reflecting on the status of music and our demand for "simple" hooks and no lyrics.
Ya'll know I don't only put up Hip_Hop. I love House music too, so when I come across something cool, it's naturally gonna be up in da Hause. Anyways, tonights joint has a theme of craving for Parieeee.
Although I don't crave for the popular European city, since I've never visted (yet), but I do crave you wonderful French women! And if they're from Parieeee, I'll take two!!!
I came across a wonderful quote from one of the world's most famous architect, Frank Gehry:
Ninety-eight percent of buildings are boxes, which tells me that a lot of people are in denial. We live and work in boxes. People don't even notice that. Most of what's around us is banal. We live with it. We accept it as inevitable. People say, 'This is the world the way it is, and don't bother me.' Then when somebody does something different, real architecture, the push-back is amazing. People resist it. At first it's new and scary.
On the strip malls, "McMansions," and tract-houses commonly seen in suburban America:
'Little boxes on the hillside, little boxes made of ticky-tacky.' There's the old song about it. It's a metaphor for what we're being told: 'Just stay in the box, kid, don't muddy the water.' Parents say it to their kids. Teachers say it. Schools do. And so people become immune to the sameness...it's so common it's accepted. We can't imagine it any other way. It's dehumanizing, and we don't even notice it.
Throwin the new Ricky Ross joint featuring T.I. at ya.
A homage to the world's most recognizable and praised city: New York. This is classic since it comes from nasty NaS. Enjoy.
