Several years ago, I had a profound dream that showed me a new way of seeing myself and my role in the world.  I found myself floating alone in outer space.  Just a tiny speck in that vast dark void, feeling the chill of isolation and vulnerability as I hung there. Towering before me was a black metal construction of Titanic proportions, perhaps a missile launch or docking station. How anyone could have built something so huge in space, was hard to imagine, but there it was looming like a specter.

Emblazoned on its main wall was a cold and foreboding black circle punctuated with enormous metal rivets. I instantly knew that this was "the black sun"; that somehow I had come upon the hub of all evil.  What really struck me was that this massive thing was manmade.  Evil was not a nasty looking creature with horns and a trident, but instead, here was a creation made by human beings with the deliberate intent to unleash harm and horror.  Why was I here?

In answer to this, a soft green light began gently streaming from my heart.  It shone a bright beacon into the darkness.  Then a voice spoke to me, but there was no one I could see.  It said, "all it takes is the light of one small heart sun to combat the big black sun".

And there my dream ended.  It reminded me that only love can conquer hate.  No matter how insignificant and small we may seem, within each of us is the invincible and everlasting power of love. 

Even when we are backed into a corner by overwhelming fear, we always have a choice to act from love. We need not allow our eternal souls to be bullied. It is only by living our lives with integrity, by being true to our hearts and souls, that we are liberated from fear. 

As interconnected beings of spirit, we are each responsible for being a loving presence in the world.  We must do no harm - not in words, deeds or even unloving thoughts.  And if we stumble, as humans sometimes do, all we need do is realign ourselves with the power of forgiveness and unconditional love.   It is up to each of us to shine our heart suns brightly into the world.

BOOK REVIEW

As this is "Heart Month", I thought it appropriate to take Dr. Paul Pearsall's, "The Heart's Code: Tapping the Wisdom and Power of Our Heart Energy" off my shelf.  Through his research with heart transplant patients, as well as his own personal experience with cancer, the author shows that the heart is our most powerful organ and holds an enormous amount of memory.  Pearsall also shows that we are all inter-connected and boldly states that the heart "speaks and sends information" and "exchanges information with other hearts and brains".  An inspiring, thought-provoking, heart-warming read!

HEALING

Over the years, I have found that no matter what issue clients bring for healing, pain is often held in their hearts.  Clearing the heart centre of grief, anger or heaviness frees up our ability to feel love, joy and compassion.  I believe we all can benefit from healing our hearts.

One of the joys in my life is assisting people with their healing processes. I work intuitively and integrate Inka shamanic healing techniques with energy healing (Healing Touch), Archangel healing, crystals, sound and counselling.  My approach is gentle, respectful and client-centred. Sessions take place in loving, sacred space and last about 1 1/2 hours.
