Friday night saw the Invitational Premiere of Heritage Multimedia's latest release, the Barbara Grossman documentary, The Rudy Johnson Bridge, at the Gibraltar Room in Williams Lake.

Sponsored by the BC Federation of Woodlot Associations and hosted by David Zirnheldt, the 60 min. video opened to a sold-out crowd of 400, who were moved to tears and laughter by the personal reflections and archival footage, retelling the story of how one man set out to build himself a bridge across British Columbia's mighty Fraser River.

In the audience were those featured in the documentary and most everyone else in attendance recollected the pride and excitement of the great undertaking, dubbed the World's Biggest Do-it-yourself Project.
