How to Treat a Volunteer

Very carefully, obviously. As one of the people who helps to make the club
work, I would like to remind everyone that the rides would not happen
without the hard work of people just like yourself. I also want to point out
that many of the people who run the club have been doing so for years, on
top of their often already busy lives.
So... when something does not happen quite the way you would like it to,
rest assured that the volunteer responsible is doing their best and remember
that they really don't have to do anything for you. They want to and they
enjoy doing so (most of the time).
