TEAM SWUNK NEWS

Year End Results

Well, as the year came down to an end, so did our hope of finishing atop the leader board.  With tires running thin, so were the excuses.  The Team missed an outing on the October 1st weekend and that probably was the last straw.  That could've turned dreams into reality, instead it only reinforced the importance of making every race and EARNING points when you do race.  On the last race of the year, it was a calm and cool Sunday.  Just like the Sundays where you would get up late and maybe casually go for a Sunday drive.  Well, that's exactly how the Hornet felt!!  He went out for a Sunday ride and honestly, he accomplished just that.  I think he had visions,  let me rephrase that, blindness is more like it.  I don't think he knew that the others were passing him.  He seemed content on just finishing the race.  If he had known his points total before coming into the final round, he might have kicked it up a notch.  Only 5 points behind the #44 rider, the Hornet may have finished 14th Overall.  Well, I guess he figured the stats will look better next year when he finishes higher, he can say " See, I moved up xxxxx number of spots from last year".  We hear ya Hornet.  Great novice year.  You can only go up from here!!

As for the Razor,  his final round looked promising.  His first qualifing rounds didn't look to good to start, but he soon looked comfortable in the latter stages.  Then disaster struck.  In the Stock 80 Main, with only one lap to go, Razor was on the heels about to pass another rider.  Then BAM.  The brakes decided to sieze and the Razor could not finish the race.  The Weekend was over, with still another 2 Mains to race, the Razors hopes and dreams for cracking the top 5 faded as fast as his brakes.  In the final standings, Razor finished 6th overall, not bad for a guy who keeps his nuts in a sling.  Let them out once in while! You'd be surprised what could happen!!

Well here are the final stats for each Team Swunk Rider.  Lets hope this kids have learned something this year and chalk it up as a "learning experience".  Just remember guys, Sunday is for RACING (thats you Hornet),  Go BALLS OUT!! (and that ones for you Razor).  Hope you all enjoyed the Trials and Errors as we like to call it.  See you next year!!!!!  Thanks to all our fans and supporters, without you, well, I guess I'd be typing this crap for nothing!!!
