TEAM SWUNK NEWS

Damn Taco's

No offence to our teammate Taco, but if it wasn't for the the Mexican Circus in town taking up our track, the outcome may have been different.  OK, with that off my chest, the track was about half the size they normally run.  It was more like a small oval with a couple of turns in it.  It was to be a very " Technical Track" in the curvy parts, until of course, the top rider straightened it out.  Seemed the only one who like the track was the Razor, and since he isn't a "Top 3 Rider" his opinion meant crap.  So after all that practice, the riders went out after the riders meeting to learn the new track before qualifying started.  Nothing to report here other than the Hornet had a sore wrist.  Hmm, weren't team orders not to have sex before the big race?

Disappointment for Team Swunk's Razor

Although the overall standings had the first 4 spots sewn up, there was a battle to be had for 5th.  With Razor having his best finish as 6th spot, he was looking at finishing 5th.  Before the day started, Razor had a 2 point lead on 6th spot.  With the 3 remaining races, Razor had to finish well.  In the Stock 80 class he fell back to fall behind #167, the rider trailing Razor by 2 points.  With that race outta the way, the 2 were tied in points.  In the Mod 50 race, the Razor battled off #167 on the short track oval with 2 curves to keep his hopes alive regaining his 2 point lead.  But in the GP Open class, it was a disappointment.  The Razor had to at least stay even with #167 to even have a chance at tying him.  But after a bad start, probably the only real one on the year, the Razor lost ground on #167 as he got stuck behind a slowpoke, no good, only fast cause his bike had more torque, line blocking, slow in the corners, four eyed (Razor threw that one in too), piece of crap #40 bike for the remaining laps of the the shortened race (originally 20 cut to 10).  If it wasn't for that, maybe the Razor would've gotten around him by maybe "Tapping" him outta the way, piece of crap, slowpoke, no good.  Ok we get the idea.  So all in all, the Razor got stuck behind a slower rider that he couldn't pass and let his dreams of 5th spot ( would of been the best placing in his short career) slip away.  As for the Hornet, he had no chance of gaining or losing a spot.  With his sore wrist and whatever else was sore, he coasted to a 12th spot overall.  Moving him up 3 spots over last year.
