TEAM SWUNK NEWS

Join The Club.

Can you believe that someone else would want to join Team Swunk?  Obviously they have not seen there track record.  Literally!!  Well, Team Swunk would like to welcome the newest member, Krash.  Krash decided to join the Team and without wasting anytime did what the Razor and especially the Hornet are all to familiar with.  Crash.  You're probably wondering why Krash is spelt with a "K".  Well, that's because Krash is "special" ( you don't know the half of it).  Yes, Krash is a SHE.  That's right, it took many meetings with Team Swunk and the Managers but they accepted her as a Number 3 rider.  And without any hesitation, the team managers threw her right into the mix.  Boy, or should I say GIRL, what a mistake.  Krash was new to YSR racing and she was taking it quite slowly but progressing well.  The day started off dry, but soon the rain started to fall.  And so did Team Swunks newest rider.  Just as the rain started, Krash and the Razor went on to the track.  With Razor off early, he knew that it could be slippery and was very cautious.  As he rounded the last corner before the back straight, well behind Krash,  he looked ahead only to see Krash picking herself off the pavement.  He rode up to make sure she was alright.  She was a little dizzy but when they got her back to the pits, she seemed OK.  Krash was a little shaken up, but decided that her debut was to end early.  And wouldn't you know it, they hadn't even started qualifying yet.  Was she taking lessons from the Hornet.  I guess she didn't know that crashing in practice was the Hornets job.

The Hornet on the other hand, and I use that term loosely, was complaining of his sore wrist he says is from a reoccurring injury.  Doesn't he know Team Swunk orders?  NO SEX BEFORE RACE DAY.  He tried to bear the pain in practice but seemed that the pain was too much.  Decided to hold off on qualifying and save whatever he had in the tank for the Main events.  Well, that didn't work out well at all.  After placing LAST in the first Stock 80 race, he decided he was a NON Factor and became a Flag person.  That's not a typo, he was a Flag person.  Hope your wrist heals before next race, and a little advice.  Use the other hand once in awhile.

The Razor had to carry the team AGAIN.  With Krash out complaining of seeing stars, and the Hornet with his limp wrist, the Razor had to try and place on the podium to keep the integrity of Team Swunk alive.  OH Yeah,  TOOT TOOT.  In the Stock 80 race, the Razor got off to a decent start but after the first turn was in 5th place.  The track was very technical and demanding, oh and not to mention WET.  Razor tried numerous times to pass the number 66 rider but failed.  With one lap to go, he decided to make his move.  WRONG.  As he approached corner 1, Razor took the inside line and tried to force #66 outside, but as he did he lost momentum and fell over.  Well, there went 5th and he settled for 6th.  The Mod 50 race was a different story.  After the start, Razor was in the same situation as the previous race.  The Razor decided he had to make his move early to avoid crashing again.  About lap 3, the Razor took charge and dove down the inside of turn 1.  He forced #66 outside this time and held his spot into turn 2.  From there he never looked back and held off his rivals to take 3rd spot and stand upon the podium.  The 80 GP OPEN he was not so lucky.  With all the horsepower on the grid, and a very scary 1st turn, the Razor thought, just keep this thing on 2 wheels.  Well that didn't happen, with 1 lap to go, the Razor was coming upon the last corner before the back straight and lowsided.  He lost about 3 spots, but regained 1 from a back marker that let him by.  He finished about 9th I think.  My eyes were closed in disappointment as I saw him crash and knew his hopes for a decent finish had vanished so I wasn't paying any attention to his placement. LOSER.

All in all it was a decent day considering the circumstances.  Hopefully it will at least not be wet for the next event and Krash and the Hornet will be healthy and show us what they are made of.  OK, at least they can start and finish all the races.
