Volunteer spotlight:

Club member Phyllis Horne feels very lucky to have STARS in Alberta, and has been volunteering with Stars for 20 years!

She is extremely passionate about volunteering and supporting STARS.  The Edmonton base feels like another family to

Phyllis and it has been very rewarding for her to see the organization grow to what it is today.

Her favorite part of volunteering is being able to represent STARS, interacting with the public and hearing their stories and experiences with STARS.

She was hugely instrumental in organizing the STARS Sunshine Carnival in Fort Saskatchewan which raised more than $185,000 over ten years.
