Happy New Year RR Fans! We hope you're enjoying 2008 so far! Sorry for the long time in between updates...

Anyways, 2007 was a great year for us, so we want to say thank-you to all the people that helped make it great! We had a lot of firsts: first European Tour, first full-length vinyl and CD, first bass player with curly hair... it was an awesome year, so thank-you!

We have a couple of fun things in the works right now....First off, we're planning to make it back to Japan this year. We are so excited about this one because it was a dream come true to tour there last time and we're so happy to be able to go back again. We also plan to tour to the U.S. again, and we're looking forward to playing some new cities we've never visitied before. Please check out the shows page for tourdates, and email us if you can help us out with booking a show.

Hi everyone! We're back from Europe and it was awesome! Thank-you to all the European fans who came out to party! And thank-you to Chixdiggit for being such great tour-mates!

Now that we're back we have a couple of shows lined up and they both happen to be in our hometown of Vancouver. Please check out the shows page for more details.

Hi RR Fans! Hope you're all having a great summer so far! We've been doing great! We are super excited to report that our album is officially going to be released on September 18th 2007 with Dirtnap Records! We want to say thank-you to our fans for being so patient! In other exciting news we are opening for the Pointed Sticks on August 25th in Vancouver, and we've also got a european tour in the works for October! We'll be touring with our favourite band Chixdiggit!!! We can't wait.

Happy Canada Day RR Fans! We have some great news! We're finally putting out our album and it's going to be released on Dirtnap Records and on vinyl with Alien Snatch Records. Please check out their websites for info on the release date and how you can buy one if you want one!

We're having such an amazing year so far because we've gotten to play with so many amazing bands like Nikki Corvette and the Stingrays, The Yum Yums and The Little Girls. We can't wait to open up for the Pointed Sticks in August!!!

In other BIG news we're finally going to be playing our first european tour in October. We'll try to post the tourdates soon.

Happy Summer! Not sure if summer has actually started yet, but it really feels like it! We're getting excited about possible summer shows coming up! We're hoping to play Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Kelowna this summer. Maybe more BC dates too...please email us if you can help us out in these cities! We're also working on setting up some stuff in Japan again for this fall! We were going to go to Europe but it turns out it'd make more sense for us to go there in the Spring.

We're happy to announce that we're finally finished recording our album!!! No idea who will release it yet....but please stay tuned!

Hi! We can't believe how long it's been since our last update. Sorry about that! We posted an update on our myspace page because we were being lazy. Anyways, since our last update we went to beautiful Abbotsford British Columbia to record our new album. We are really happy with what we've done so far and can't wait to put out the record for all of you guys who have waited so long (way too long). For the next few months our plan is to finish up the recording (we have one more recording slot in May), and then get somebody to put out the album for us. We're hoping to play all of our favorite spots again this summer, so stay tuned for tour dates in your town!

Hi everybody! We're back from our crazy long tour! The shopping was great and the shows were amazing. The late night tacos were great as usual too. The Japan tour dates are set! Check out the shows page to find out what bands we're playing with. If you're into the Japanese punk scene you'll notice we're playing with awesome bands like Supersnazz and Prambath, just to name a couple.

BAD NEWS: We've had to pull out of our LA show with Nikki and the Corvettes because it's been relocated to another city. Check back for updated shows since we're hoping to set some stuff up down the west coast.

We FINALLY got to see the Cosmogirl article after what seemed like forever! We're so happy that they chose a Riff Randells photo as the huge whole page picture! You can even see our band logo on our bass drum! We're totally happy about it and want to say thanks to Cosmogirl and especially Audrey Dimola who set the whole thing up for us!

Hello Everybody! Our dream has come true, we're finally going to Japan! Check out the tour dates on the shows page! In other exciting news, we're playing two shows with our musical idol Nikki Corvette in California! We can't wait to finally meet her!

May 6th
The show with The Woggles, New Town Animals and The Minds was rad. All the bands were amazing and we're happy to have shared a stage with them. We're definitely gonna play a show with The Minds in their home town of Portland soon, so stay tuned for that. Also, thanks to our superfan Ryan from Winnipeg for coming down to the show!

April 14th
Hot Off The Press! We've started making major plans for recording our album. We're very excited because Travis Ramen is going to produce and record it for us! For those of you who don't know, Travis is the musical GENIUS who created the fabulous Tina and the Total Babes record and the latest Nikki and the Corvettes release! We're planning to record in early August in Pennsylvania. We can't wait.

In other exciting news: We're going to be featured in the June/July issue of CosmoGirl Magazine. According to the magazine The Riff Randells are one of America's top five college girl bands! Stay tuned for more info, and of course buy the June/July issue of CosmoGirl!

Hello Fans. The Brickyard show was a hit. Great bands and awesome audience. Minus the "show us your tits" dudes of course! Thanks again to the Smugglers for lending us all their gear! Don't forget to check out the photos page because tons of new pics have been added. Thanks to Kristy, Shell and Jason for taking all the rad photos. You should actually all check out Jason's photo gallery here. He's got tons of photos from local bands and of The Smugglers and Supersnazz from Friday night.

For the next little while we'll be taking a break for more song writing, then we're back on the road at the end of April with our pals the Minds. Anyways, I guess that's it! See ya soon!

Greetings! Just a quick note to let you all know that we survived the snowy ski hill! Fun times were had by all despite our frozen fingers. Holy shit! These past few weeks have been wicked! Our Alberta shows were so good we can't even believe it. We want to say THANKS to: CHIXDIGGIT for selling out the Canmore Hotel and for lending us their gear, D-BROWN for being our merch girl, TWYLA and her posse for being so generous with both the ghetto blaster and the beer in Canmore, and THE HOMEWREKERS for being such a rad band and for lending us their gear. The Vancouver shows were great too! Thanks so much to Nardwuar and to everyone who came out to the shows!

Now that we're back on track, we're setting up tons of shows so email us if you would like us to play your town! Up next is the Lake Louise show in Alberta, then we're planning to play a few shows with The Minds who are from Portland. Possibly a visit out east in May. Happy 2004 RR Fans!
Here's what's happening with us right now: We're busy practicing for our mini-Alberta tour, which is next week. It's going to be a three-day party marathon starting in Canmore at the Canmore Hotel ($40 hotel rooms), then in Calgary at the Night Gallery and then in Edmonton at the Shark Tank (all ages).

Hottest News Flash Of The Century!!! Justin has left the building! After years of filling in on bass as our "temporary" band member, Justin has finally been set free from our girl-band prison. He served his sentence well.
We're happy to introduce Felicity as the newest member of the Riff Randells. She's the best bass player we've ever played with and she loves to party and shop. Need we say more? Stay tuned for more info cuz there are lots of exciting things in the works.

Thanks to Twyla from Calgary who tipped us off on this rad review of the CD/EP in Skyscraper Magazine. We can't believe they're still reviewing it, but whatever. It's a good one. Check it out here. Oh and we almost forgot!! A big thank-you to the people at Paul Frank for sending us clothes and stickers. Very cute stuff.

Hey RR Fans! How's your summer going? Sorry we haven't updated in a while. We were viciously attacked by a nasty computer virus that put us out of commission. Whatever! It's all fixed now so here we are. We've been busy writing songs for the upcoming album and we are really excited to be working with a wicked producer but we'll tell you who that is later. We're sad to say that our California shows were postponed again, but we'll get ourselves down there soon enough. 2 Alberta shows are in the works right now so stay tuned! Oh and don't forget to check out our messageboard because it's the most happenin' place on the "net." Better than friendster.com.

Wow! The reviews are still coming in for the Alien Snatch 10"! It's a goody, so check it out! You're all probably wondering what we're up to right now since our big rocknroll tour was cancelled. Well, just to let you know we're busy getting haircuts, moving-out, bbqing, shopping, practising and writing songs for our next release. Alright. Come back here EVERYDAY to check for tourdates.

Hi everybody! First off we wanna say thanks to the Cinch for lending us tons of gear at the show, and thanks to the devoted fans who showed up so early. Fun times were had by all. We found out yesterday that our tour to the UK has been CANCELLED...until further notice. That is, we're going to postpone it until we've got our album out. Sorry to anyone who was looking forward to the shows, but it couldn't be helped. Anyways, the good news is we are planning to do another tour down the west coast to our favourite destination: California. Stay tuned for more info!

Happy New Year and thanks to everyone who helped us out in 2002! We're planning lots of stuff this year, the biggest being a trip out to the UK and releasing an album. The UK NoDancing 7" is almost done. Cover art is in the mail, so we should have our 4th 7" out in about a month. Also, check out our newest interview in MAXIMUMROCKNROLL #236. It's the January issue and we're on the cover! Thanks to Brace Paine for the interview. We also did one with Grath from VINYLAGOGO.COM and scored 66.1% on his quiz. We are almost totally out of t-shirts too, so I guess if you want one with the current design order one now. Or wait for the new ones. Bye!

Hey! We had a total blast in the USA. HUGE thank-you to The Girls, The Pinkz, The Minds, and The Bobbyteens for lending us their gear and another huge thanks to Nam, Brian, Joel, The Exploding Hearts and Tina for getting us the shows. We played with a cute band in Portland called the Diskords. They're only 13 or 14. Check them out! Pics and all that stuff will be up later.

CALIFORNIA! Ok! So we are leaving next week to drive down the west coast. We're totally excited to be heading back to our FAVOURITE North American destination. As usual we are planning on doing tons of shopping, partying and eating. HOT NEWS: For our little LA jaunt we are staying in thee SWANKIEST hotel ever! In Beverly Hills! PARTYTIME. Ok, so in other news, we got another review in the British mag Kerrang so check it out. Also looks like we are putting out another European release cuz this dude from the BBC will be putting out a RR 7" in the UK sometime in the near future. Later!

Powell Street Festival was a ton of fun. It didn't rain, we ate Japanese food, and we sold all our CDs. Hopefully they'll invite us back again next year. In other RR happenings,the CD/EP is coming out on vinyl any day now and it's gonna be called "Lethal Lipgloss". Stay tuned to Alien Snatch Records for more info. The Lethal Lipgloss video is done (Special thanks to Mouki) and ready to be shipped off to wherever videos go to get on tv. Hopefully we'll be able to put part of it on the website, but who knows. There's a new interview section on the press page. Check it out!

Hello! Summer tour is over. We had a wicked time in California, tons of shopping, eating and partying. Thanks to Tina "crazy" Luchessi for letting us move into her house for a while. The Bobbyteens are thee nicest people ever so thanks to them too for letting us play shows with them and for taking us shopping all over Hollywood (they are pros). We also met a really cool band called the Glossines who you will all be worshipping in a year or so. Super goooood band. They were rad and saved the night by curing kathy's tragic mental breakdown. Hello! We're back safe and sound from our cross-Canada tour. Our show last night in Calgary was totally fun, the best show by far, although Montreal comes in a VERY close second place. Anyways, we're gonna be updating the "merch" page and the pictures page once we get all our film developed. In other news, our EP is coming out as a 10" record on Alien Snatch Records, which is a German label run by our good friend Daniel. It's gonna have new cover art. Not sure when it's coming out, but we will know in a few weeks.

**We wanna say thank-you to all the show promoters and the people who came to our shows, and also thanks to the DFA house, Gabby's Mom, Matt & Jeff, Alison, Farcus, Katie & Robin, Davey Beldon, David Crowchild, Ada-Frances, Frankie Returnable, Travis Ramin, The Resch Manor, and KJ for giving us food and a place to sleep! Last but not least, the HUGEST thank-you goes out to Gabby our pro-roadie, who drove the ENTIRE trip.

Just finished playing three wicked shows! Peterborough was surprisingly a really cool place (thanks to DJ RATSKI), Montreal of course was a wild and crazy party, and Ottawa like always was tons of fun. Hi! We've been doing tons of driving, eating, and shopping all across the country. Oh, and we've played lots of shows too. 9 shows so far and we have another two weeks to go until we're back home. Be sure to check the shows page for some changes. The Montreal show is now a house party (the address is listed on the shows page), and the Hamilton show has been moved to a different venue. The count down to the cross-Canada tour has begun! Pins are at the pin factory, and t-shirts and stickers are in the works too. A new interview with Kathy is up here on the Virus Zine website. Oh, and we're being presented with our prize from Healey Disc at our show in Toronto on June 9th. One last thing: The latest EP is confirmed to be released on vinyl in Europe. Details to come soon.

Yay. The Riff Randells won a contest on Umbrella Music! We didn't even know it was a contest so we are super surprised and happy. Not sure about the details of the prize yet. We're getting ready to hit the road to Montreal and back (May 31-June 22nd). Good upcoming news: We ALMOST have a new logo, designed by the one and only Tom Bagley, and we almost have our 1st band van. So much stuff is going on! Oh and by the way Justin will continue to fill in on bass for the mini-tour, and basically until further notice. Later!

Merry Christmas to you! Well, 2001 was kind of a lame year show wise we must admit, BUT we are planning to play a ton of shows next year. Kathy's been at school non-stop this year and just has to do a few more months until we can get back on track playing lots of RAD shows all over the place.
