To Save Invitation/Announcement to your Computer
If you use Hotmail as your email service: 1.
Open
the email that I send you. When it is
open, you will see a paperclip in the top left portion of the email. Beside it will be the name of your
invitation or announcement ending in .jpg.
2.
Click
on the Name of your invitation or announcement. 3.
This
brings up a window asking if you want to download or save your file. 4.
Click
Save, it will then take a bit of time and it will give you a directory
listing of your computer. Choose the
location that you want to save the file on your computer. Click the Save button. 5.
Remember
this location; you will need to remember where you saved it when you upload
it to print. If you use Outlook as your email service: 1.
Open
the email that I send you. When it is
open, you will see a little icon beside the Attachments: section at the top
header of the email. Beside it will be
the name of your invitation or announcement ending in .jpg. 2.
Click
the RIGHT button your mouse (you normally use the left button) one time. This will bring up a drop down menu; move
your mouse down to ‘Save As’. 3.
It will give you a directory listing of your
computer. Choose the location that you
want to save the file on your computer.
Click the Save button. 4.
Remember this location; you will need to
remember where you saved it when you upload it to print. If you use another service, you will
have to contact them and ask them how to save an attached file from your
email to your computer. Please know
how to do this prior to placing an order. How
To Upload your Invitation or Announcement to a Photo
Printing Service
1.
Choose
the photo printing service of your choice.
I use Costco Photo Service, but Wal-Mart also has a photo
service. I will use Wal-Mart for this
example. 2.
Go
to http://walmart.pnimedia.com/home.aspx
(make sure that there is a pick up area in your location) 3.
Click
on Upload Photo (or log into your account if you have an account already). 4.
Click
on the 'Basic Uploader' Button. 5.
Click
the checkbox saying you agree to the Wal-Mart Terms and Conditions. 6.
By
Image 1, click on the Browse button. 7.
Use
the drop down list at the top that says Look In and choose the folder that
you saved the invitation / announcement in.
Wait for it to show up in the list and check the little checkbox under
the photo. 8.
Make
the Title of the photo be whatever you like. 9.
Hit
“Upload” button and wait until the Uploading Images pop up disappears. 10.
From
this point, follow the directions to order the prints, make sure you order
4X6 and that you order the number of prints that you want to receive. You will also have to select your pick up location. You can choose to have Matter or Glossy as
well as if you want a border around the card or not. Normally I choose glossy and no border, but
that is my preference. 11.
When
you are printing it and it asks you what printing you want on the back, I’d
really appreciate if you can put “Card
Design by tarapage@telus.net”.
Enjoy! |
