History

RW Audio was born in 1997 out of necessity rather than a plan to build signal processors. Back in '97 I was running a Phoenix Gold PLD-1, and for whatever reason it died. Not completely but enough that the audio out was distorted and at a low signal level. At the time I was a student of Devry Institute of Technology in the Electronics Engineering Technology program. So instead of sending the PLD in for warranty (which takes a long time from my experience). I used the power supply salvaged from the PLD and designed my own audio stage. This very first RW Audio line driver lasted till spring 2000 when I decided it was time to retire it. In '99 I sold my first RW Audio line driver. The design is the same as what I first used in '97, the only changes have been revising the power supply, circuit board, and enclosure to the point that I have a quality, reliable, and consistent product.

Customer service and custom designs are where RW Audio stands out. Using one of my 3 standard board designs I can creat 100's of different line driver configurations. From a standard 2 input 2 output stereo line driver to a more exotic 4 input 16 output with 4 stereo outputs, 4 mono outputs and 8 outputs configured as a bridging module. This flexibility allows the customer to chose the right processor for their system at a price that's very attractive. Research and development will always continue, as I continue to strive for a better line driver, and to expand the product line to include a crossover line and whatever the future holds.
