Welcome to the Alberta Offshore Sailing Association (AOSA) of Edmonton, Alberta.  We represent northern Alberta sailors who operate a cruising sailboat or power boat equipped with watertight hatches, a self-draining cockpit, galley, bunks and overnight sleeping accommodations in a cabin. The goal of the AOSA is to improve cruiser sailing in Alberta through education and by liaising with existing and prospective yacht clubs and related associations. This web site and distribution list serves our communication needs. Click here to read some of the AOSA history.
  • Members attend monthly meetings during the winter to share knowledge and experiences. Each meeting focuses on a particular subject and a feature speaker is invited. The subject matter alternates between technical and cruising so there is something of interest for everyone. The presentation is usually culminated with a lively discussion over grog.
  • We maintain a distribution list to keep sailors abreast of events and to notify members of monthly meetings.
NOTE - The old list died.  Please register yourself to join the new list.  Spread the word to other Wabamun sailors.
  • The news is posted on this web site, as it happens, and members are notified via the distribution list.
  • The AOSA hosts a nautical garage sale each winter.
  • The AOSA organizes the mid-winter equinox each winter.
