| Dr. Sharon Stanley has practiced as a psychotherapist for over twenty years in Canada and the United States. Her work in the field of somatic therapy has drawn hundreds of students to international training programs that she has developed and taught. As an instructor of graduate studies at the University of Victoria, the University of Washington and Pacific Lutheran University, Dr. Stanley has been noted to ground her courses in relevant emergent research in the field of psychotherapy and offer effective and exciting processes for skill development. Currently, Dr. Stanley practices somatic trauma resolution with individuals, couples and groups on Bainbridge Island, Washington. |

According to the research of Alan Shore and others, the neurological wounds of insecure attachment leave an individual vulnerable to further neglect, abuse and trauma. |

Participants will explore the application of these contemporary fields of practice into their work with individuals, couples and families. This workshop will build upon the concepts and practices of the Development through the Life Span course, but it is not required. |
