Saturday, September 5, 2009

Thanks to Sonja, Margaret, Rita, Charlie and the other committe members and volunteers who did a tremendous amount of work organizing this event.

Special thanks to Henry and Marg Battenfelder for offering the use of their Batt Traps golf course and campground for this event.

Batt traps is north west of Barrhead on the Swan Hills Highway. Two years ago there was a Battenfelder family meeting re what to do with those two quarters and Henry said "I want to build a golf course." So far its a nine hole course with a campground and ATV mud bog track.

Sunday Morning

Henry cooked pancakes for the group on his outdoor grill. The right hand picture is of Mr Nadeau who was vice principal and had to kick Walter out of school for spending too much time in the poolroom. Fifty years later Walter said it was the best thing that ever happened to him.
