Low Noise Amplifiers
"Cooled, low noise microwave FET amplifiers are used extensively in
radio telescopes, sattelite earth stations, and radar systems to
minimize noise added to the signal by the receiver...." Quoted

A number of low noise amplifiers were made here using the
Weinreb design in the schematic, some used the Mitsubishi MGF 1412
GaAs FET.
Dr. Valk went to S.E.D. systems in Saskatchewan after completing
his studies here.
