Star Trek Links:

Startrek.com
The offical site by Paramount.

Ex Astris Scientia

This site by Bernd Schneider is one of the best Star Trek sites on the web. EAS focuses less on the technical aspect of Star Trek and more on Star Trek as a whole. The Star Fleet Museum is defently worth a look as the entire site. And if by some chance you don't find what you are looking for on the main site there is an extensive links page that links to hundreds of pages.

Daystorm Institue Technical Library
This is a great site by Graham Kennedy with an extensive collection of articles about Star Trek, written from both a 21st and 24th century point of view. One thing to note is that parts the site are based on material from the technical manual and there is a fair bit of conjecture so take some of the conclusions with a grain of salt if you are looking for purely canon material. There is however a colour coded system used to distinguish canon material from non-canon and conjecture. Over all a great site and well worth a visit.

Phasers.net

This site by Lee Kelly is all about the hand weapons of star trek and is a great resource for those interest in star trek weaponry.

Memory Alpha
A Star Trek wiki that contains every thing you would ever want to know about Star Trek.

Janet's Star Trek Voyager Site
If you ever wanted to know anything about Star Trek Voyager this is the place to go. Janet's Star Trek Voyager Site has an impressive 1.2billion screen shots and includes detailed summaries for every Voyager episode.

Star Wars Links:

Star Wars.com
The offical Star Wars website by Lucasfilm.

Star Wars Technical Commentaries
A large and informative site about Star Wars technology by Dr. Curtis Saxton. Dr. Saxton does however use the EU to a large extent, so like with the DITL, I'd recommend taking the conclusions with a fair bit of salt. Over all a wonderful site that I would recommend to anyone trying to learn more about Star Wars.

Other/Multi-SciFi Links:

ST-v-SW.net

Darkstar's Star Trek vs Star Wars site. It is a well written site with many articles about the technology of both sci-fi's. While it does have a pro-Trek slant this is probably one of the more balanced site.

Star Destroy.net

Mike Wong's Star Wars vs Star Trek site. SD.net has a heavy pro-Star Wars bias and considers the EU as canon so the conclusions will be different from mine and DarkStar's. If you are interested in getting into the Star Trek vs Star Wars debate I would recommend reading this site, even if you are pro-Trek. It is still good to have and idea what the opposition thinks.

Jeff Russell's Starship Dimensions
This is a great site. It alows you compare the sizes of different star ships from many different science fiction series. Well worth a look.
