ANNUAL VISIT TO THE DINER A BIG SUCCESS

The evening of Wednesday, July 9 was a great occasion for eating and cruising, Model A style. Forty-two members in 11 Model As and some modern vehicles gathered at Heritage Park for a 6:30 p.m. run to Humpty’s Diner.

Joining the SCMAFC members for dinner was honored guest Henry A. Bear. Henry is the world-traveled mascot of the Model A Ford Club of America and was visiting Calgary as part of the North West Region Meet festivities.

After a lengthy dinner, the Model As headed off for a brief car-night parade through Willy’s Hamburgers and then downtown for a trip along the Stephen Avenue Mall. The final destination for the evening was a visit to the Eau Claire Market where reserved parking was provided. The Eau Claire visit was fairly brief as darkness was coming on and a chill was in the air.
