The Stampede City Model A Ford Club (SCMAFC) has set up a Google Group to provide a forum to share club information.

The address for the group is http://groups.google.com/group/SCMAFC

On this group you will find:

·         a discussion group related to various current SCMAFC topics

·         our Repair and Service database

·         a tool inventory

·         a list of members parts available to purchase or swap

·         updated tour information

·         a number of technical and other model A related articles posted by SCMAFC members

You are encouraged to update the pages with any information or discussions you feel may be of interest to club members.   As you will note, the information on this site is a bit thin at this time so your contributions would be appreciated.

THIS IS A PRIVATE GROUP NOT AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC.  Your email addresses distribution should be kept private and confidential to this group.

To join the SCMAFC group, please send an email to Mike Hill at the email address below and you will be sent an invite.

Detailed instructions for accessing the site are outlined below.

Google Groups is a service from Google that supports group formation based on common interests.  SCMAFC members can post information to the group or have discussions related to topic of interest to the members.  Once a posting is made to the group page, the information can then be distributed to all group members.  For example, if the Tour Coordinator updated information regarding a particular tour itinerary, all members would then receive an email notifying them of the update.  Members can select how often they wish to receive these updates.

To set yourself up on the site:

Click on this link (http://groups.google.com/ group/SCMAFC) to access the sign up page.  If clicking on the link does not work sometimes you have to press the "Ctrl" button and click on the link above. If that doesn't work, copy the above address into your internet browser. 

Click on "Sign into Google Groups" and then click on "Create an Account" on the right hand side of the next page.

 Type in the email that you intend to use (the same email that you receive the invite under or the new email that you send to me so I can send you a new invite).  Type in a password.

You will also have to type in some letters shown on the screen to proceed - this is a security feature.  If you don't get it the first time it will let you try again.

Once you have filled out the form, click on "I accept. Create my account".  I think you have to scroll down to the bottom of the legal stuff to make it work - pretend you read it.

Once you are finished you should be redirected to a page that says "You've been invited to join the Stampede City Model A Ford Club" click on "Accept Invitation"

Fill out how you would like to be notified and type in your full name under the nickname section to we know who you really are.  Then Click "Accept Invitation"

You should now be in the site.   The first thing you should do is then click on members and then locate your name on the list.  Double Click on your name and create a profile.  This can be done by clicking on edit.  Type in the requested information.
