This 1931 Tudor was acquired in Calgary after we decided to get rid of the Phaeton due to it’s limited fair weather driving. We were not out to find a museum piece but a good driver we could rely on in rain or shine. The body of this car was pretty solid and the interior clean but the mechanical left a lot to be desired. It turned out that we had to do a complete engine and front end re-build and since it had 1928 wheels on it we decided to go for 16” ones along with a Volvo type overdrive. And just to complete the job for a reliable driver the 6 volt system had to go to be replaced by an alternator with sealed beams. We had have trouble free driving with it for 4 years.
