ANNUAL CLUBHOUSE TOUR - 2000

The annual clubhouse tour was held on Sunday, October 15. We met in the parking lot of the Shawnessy Co-op. We had an excellent turn out. There were eight model A’s as well as a few newer models. It turned out to be a beautiful fall day, with Mr. Sun shining bright. We headed for Okotoks with Gord Watt leading us down some scenic back roads. We encountered a little gravel, but that’s okay.

We stopped at the park along the Sheep River in Okotoks and let the kids unwind at the playground, then we headed west towards Millarville racetrack. Then we went past Priddis towards Bragg Creek. Unfortunately, when we got there it was too crowded, so we just went straight back to the clubhouse.

Everyone brought along some food, and there was a delicious spread for the potluck dinner. Many people chose to take advantage of the club’s barbecue trailer and make some hot food. Everyone enjoyed the outing, the food and the company. This was our last tour for the year. Thanks to everyone who participated.

As a footnote, this tour has been held every year to mark the original opening of our clubhouse back in the 80’s.
