We met at Gord Watt's on Jan
20 at 9:00AM. Gord showed us his '29 Roadster which is almost completed except the top kit. He also let us
look at his '28 touring, his '26 Model T Speedster, and his 1915 Model T roadster.
At 10 AM we went over to Larry Duncan's garage where he had his beautifully restored Fire Engine Red '29 Roadster pickup on display.
From there we drove west out of the city to Norm Devitt's where he has a unique display of many complete restorations of rare Ford Cars
and trucks of various years of manufacture. He also has many, many collectible items on display.
At noon we drove to Smitty's Pancake House in Cochrane and had lunch along with a birthday cake in honour of Gord Watt's birthday.
After lunch we traveled back towards the city and visited Al
Chase in his garage on his acreage. Al is restoring a '28 Tudor Sedan and a '28 special
Coupe. The Sedan is almost completed except for the upholstery. We hope to see it on the road this summer Al.
We had 25 members turn out and came from as far away as Rocky Mountain House to the north and Nanton in the south. An entertaining and educational time
was had by all and the weather was nice.
We all wish to thank Gord, Larry, Norm and Al who so graciously allowed us into their
garages and to the ladies for supplying us with coffee and snacks at each home.
