At 10:30 am on July 21, eight Model A Fords from our Club gathered at the Mayfair Nursing Home at Heritage Drive and 14 Street S.W. The staff had approximately 25 seniors ready to board the cars. After the seniors were boarded into the cars we set out for a brief tour of Heritage Park.
At 11 am the Heritage Park staff let us into the main gate and we made a loop around the Park and back to the nursing home. The seniors thoroughly enjoyed the outing. The oldest passenger was a lady of 103 years of age. After the short tour we had a photo session, unloaded our passengers and went for lunch at a nearby donut shop.
Many thanks for the kind
cooperation of the Heritage Park staff, the Mayfair staff and the members of our Club who
provided traffic control at crucial intersections in the Park. |
