Scott's specialties are Wall Plaques and Hopechests.  Being an ex-hockey player himself, Scott is pleased to have hockey player greats such as his favorite players Alexander Mogilny and Wayne Gretzky owning pieces of his Artwork (Alex-2 wall plaques & jewelry box, Wayne-hopechest)

Scott Forsyth began his creative artistry in the early 80's with calligraphy and found himself a natural at it.  He was then introduced to Native wood carving shortly after (over two decades ago) and his art blossomed from there.  Scott has become thoroughly acquainted with Native Cultures; the understanding of the fundamentals of their folklore and artworks and has created stunningly beautiful works of art.  Along the way, he has been inspired by and had tutelage from such people as Bill Reid, Roy Hanuse, and Mike Balatti, with whom he worked very closely with for four years.  Scott perceives his own images with the ethnic history and folklore of the Native culture and he honours the style of carving or artwork in every piece.  His work is totally original.  He does all the work in the creation of the artwork right from the beginning: from wood carving to painting and calligraphy.  Scott is a woodcarver and artist of exceptional talent.  His work is clean & precise.   He finds enjoyment in creating traditional pieces as well as contemporary art.

Scott's artwork has been both purchased and donated to program-oriented associations for the benefit of many, from Children's Hospitals, Canuck Family Carnivals, the Michael Cuccione Foundation, Mission Hospice Society to Corporate Endeavors. Numerous artwork items have been created over the years.  The links to pages above give only a sample.

Currently Scott has in the works: a number of boxes, wall plaques, hope chests, jewelry boxes, picture frames, a coffee table and a large mask.
