Although I just had this roll of film developed in January,
the pictures are much older. These pictures were actually taken in
spring to early summer of 2000 (One photo on the roll had a picture of a calendar
showing June 11). Here are the selected photos from this roll.
Back in the spring of 2000 (March or April), while I was still working
for West Fraser, I did some layout in the Kemano Area with Rob Munson. During
this time we had to stay in camp for three weeks (weekdays in camp, weekends
at home). The first bunch of photos on this film were taken around
the camp. This picture is of the living area in the bunkhouse that we
stayed at. The places were quite comfortable, but there was very little
to do.
The next bunch of photos that I took were outdoor shots at various locations
that I was working for West Fraser. This particular photo is taken
in the Falls River area. The setting that I was laying out when we were
here was actually the last setting that I worked on before I left West Fraser.
I did not like this area at all, as I had seen several different Grizzly
Bears wandering around, including a sow with two cubs, not to mention Black
Bears I had seen in the block. I really don't like bears!
This is a shot of me back in my West Fraser days. I believe that
this shot was taken in the Dala River area. The mountains in the area
are very nice.
A nice picture of a waterfall, with the sun shining overhead. I'm
not really sure where this is, but I think that it may be in the back end
of Dahlaks Creek (which is in the Dala River area).
Here is a shot of Nechako Elementary School in Kitimat, taken from the
house I used to live in on Mallard Street in Kitimat. I'm not sure
why the RCMP vehicle is parked on the lawn.
When I lived at Mallard Street in 2000, I planted a flower garden. This
is a shot of the garden taken in June. I find gardening very relaxing.
Hopefully I have more shots of the garden from later in the summer
when it was thriving.
This is a picture of Mallard Street taken from the next door neighbour's
driveway. It is quite possible that this is the last photo of my Skoda
that I took, but I won't know that for sure until I've developed a couple
more rolls of film. Also in the picture is my old West Fraser company
truck.
