SEAR Professional Avalanche Probes

5/8" dia. 6061T6 aluminum tubing. The sewn Nylon bag has a Velcro closure & a Velcro pack attachment. There are two basic sizes 6 - 24" sections and 7 - 50 cm sections, special lengths avail. The nuts and screws are drilled and pinned with Stainless split pins.
The probe sections are polished for a lasting finish.
(Our probes have had more than 15 years of trouble free service (read abuse) with the CAA Training Schools)

Alcohol thermometer - in an aluminum protective case with cast loop on the end of the thermometer cap.

Electronic stem thermometer (imported). Stem type with button battery, 12 cm probe. ======<00.0>

Electronic box thermometer (imported). Deck of cards size, 9V,with 1/2 meter cord and 12 cm probe. This thermometer can be set to zeroC in a slush bath.

Loupe, 8x. This magnifier offers an excellent image with a large clear bell for brightness.

SEAR Snow Crystal Screen. (locally made)This aluminum screen is black on both sides. For crystal size and comparison there are grids of 1, 2, & 3 mm. The black back is useful to define fine layers.

2m folding ruler.(imported). Imprinted in millimeters, this folding fiberglass ruler survives everything except being opened like an accordion. It can even be used as a tent hoop.

500g Dial Spring Scale. This Scale has given its all to snow pits for years. Sets to zero.

SEAR 500 cc Sampling Tube. Polished aluminum tube with caps to collect and weigh snow samples.

Containing 100 write-in-the-rain pages, these field books are wire bound with plastic covers. Depending upon your requirement, the Field Book includes the appropriate symbol pages - Weather Observations, Snow Profile, Avalanche Observations (Ski Area, Road, Backcountry), the Avalanche Danger Scale and Rescue Procedures.

The SEAR B2000 Breech-loading Avalauncher is a certified Pressure Vessel complete with turntable, lateral and vertical locks, 15' aluminum barrel,  barrel lock, pressure relief valve, pressure gauge, check valve, & loading, safety , and firing valves.
