Diamonds

What you will need:

PSP 8 (all versions should work)

Full Art Image works best (no tube)

Eye Candy 4000 > Glass (optional)

Shape > Gerruitvorm (diamonds in diamond)

1. Open Image you chose, resize it 50% or less depending how large it is

2. Open new work area transparent 500 x 500

Keep in mind it will be cropped later

3. Choose from your image a dark foreground color and a light background color

Change foreground to foreground/background gradient with the following settings:

Linear > angle 320 > 0 repeats > invert (so light is on the bottom left corner)

Flood-fill workspace

4. copy and paste resized image as a new layer into workspace

add drop shadow with settings: V/H 3 > Opacity 70 > Blur 10

(return the original image to normal size for later use .. click undo)

5. Adding the shape

Turn your foreground color back to the solid color it was and turn off the background

Go to shapes and choose Gerruituorm (diamonds in a diamond)

Make shape bigger than original image (see tag for reference)

When happy with the size, convert to raster layer

Add drop shadow … same settings as before

6. Still on the diamond layer, choose the magic wand

Select one diamond, then hold shift key and select the rest of the diamonds

7. Back to original image at normal size, copy and paste it to workspace as a new layer

You should have the selected diamonds on top of your image

Move your image around to find the best position to show its finest details through the diamond shapes

8. On your layer pallet your image should be called raster 4, right click and promote to new layer

Delete raster 4 and select none.

Your image should be appearing through the diamonds

On the promoted selection, right click and go to properties, set opacity to 60%

9. move raster 2 (small image) to top and position to your liking

10. to add embellishing

add new layer to workspace

copy an area from original image to paste into top left corner

add drop shadow .. same settings

repeat last three steps only to past into bottom right corner

11. position all layers to your liking

merge all flatten

crop image

12. adding your text

whatever font works for your image

I used Eye Candy 4000 > glass > glass tubing to embellish my text

Add drop shadow with same settings

13. Add a border ... Image > border

Settings: size 15

Select border with magic wand

Flood fill with dark color from foreground

Go to effects > texture > polished stone

You might want to play with the settings to get what you want, I sued different settings for two of the tags I made.

For the red tag I used:

Blur > 25, Detail > 256, Polish > 20, Angle > 155

Color > light color from background

Merge all flatten

Don’t forget to add any copyright information to your tag and to add your own watermark

Now you are done! Hope you had fun!

this one was done while writing the tutorial to make sure I didn't leave any steps out :o)
