I was born and raised on P.E.I.  In 2000 I moved to Wetaskiwin, Alberta  and have been here ever since. I am married to a wonderful husband and have three great dogs.

I consider myself a semi-professional, self taught photographer. I have always enjoyed photography and started seriously into photography in 2005  with the purchase of my first digital camera, a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ3 and have been clicking the button ever since taking thousands of pictures. In 2006  I  upgraded to a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50. Most of the pictures I prefer to take are of  P.E.I. as I go home every summer  for a vacation and take as many pictures as I can in the time that I'm home.

 My love for photography has developed and grown greatly in the last few years. I love what I do and it shows in my work. I enjoy photography but more importantly I enjoy the subjects that I photograph.  I consider the creation of an image as not only the work of the photographer but also the collaboration between the photographer and the subject. For me, it's driving to a location setting up the camera and waiting for that perfect moment and snapping away. It's not about where you are or what kind of camera you use but how you see it and how you take the photo is what really counts,  that's what it's all about.   I feel driven to capture the next rare and magical moment that I am fortunate enough to witness. Excited when I find it, not content until I capture it. It is always my goal to ensure that the style, composition and setting of each image portrays the message and feeling that is intended. When I'm out shooting, sometimes I feel it's necessary to come back to a subject or a specific location again and again until I feel and understand my own emotions towards what I am shooting. I never get tired of what I do. It is with my photographs that I like to capture scenes as I see them and to share with others the beauty and diversity  in my photographs.
