Solemnity of Christ the King – November 22, 2009

 

First Friday Mass & Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament   Dec 4 (Fri).  Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament from 9:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Vocations hour at 6:00 p.m., Benediction at 7:45 p.m. followed by Mass in Cantonese at 8:00 p.m.  Please sign up for an hour of adoration at the Info Counter.

 

Rite of Acceptance      Next Sunday, our RCIA team invite you to participate in this blessed mission of evangelization by helping our catechumens continue their journey of faith.  During their preparation for Baptism, we wish you can support them with your prayers and concern. 

 

2010 Donation Envelope      is now available for pick-up.  Please write your name and address on each envelope in January for cross reference.

 

Year for Priests  To promote prayers for priest in Year for Priest, especially for the priests in our Archdiocese, you are asked to spiritually support a priest and pray for them.  St. John Vianney holy cards are available from the Info Counter.  Each card contains the name of a priest in diocese.

We only have some tickets left available for sale.  The Organizing Committee has been asked to consider adding a second show.  If it is a go, this second show will be on Dec 12 (Sat), evening.  Reservations for this possible show can be made at the Gift Shop from now till Nov 22, 2009.

 

Parish Pastoral Council    will be held on Nov 27 (Fri) 7:30 p.m.  Please send at least one representative from each parish group.

 

REMEMBRANCE OF ALL SOULS   November is the month to remember all our departed families,  brothers, sister and friends.  Please pick the “All Souls Day Remembrance” envelopes and drop into the collection basket during mass or return to parish office. One Mass per envelope will be offered except indicated.

 

Christmas Cards  Sending religious messages through Christmas card is far better than those without.

 

H1N1            To receive Holy Communion by hand is encouraged in order to reduce the risk of H1N1.

 

Christmas Dinner Party

 

Jesus is with us!”   Dec 19 (Sat) 6:30 p.m. at our Parish Hall.  A joyful evening with live entertainment, raffle draw and gourmet sit-down dinner!  And of course with Santa’s coming to our parish.  Ticket will be on sale from Nov 28.  $15 for adult and $12 for children (age 12 and under) and full time student who is a member of our Parish Groups.  Remember to get your tickets early before sold out.

 

Raffle Draw Donations    We are currently soliciting your gift support for the “raffle draw”.  Any NEW items: home decor, house wares, electronics, safe-proof children’s items, gift cards or others.  Please address your gift to our front reception by Dec 7 and we are grateful for your support and appreciate your donation.

 

Project Advance 2009   We are only $2,280 short of our target. Please pledge in parish office.

 

Rectory Redevelopment       Donation is still needed.  Parishioners who are in building business (exterior or interior) are invited to contact the Parish Office.
