1. Solemn Mass by Archbishop Miller will be held here on Sep 26 (Sun) at 10:00 a.m.

 

2. Feast Day Dinner on Sep 26 evening at Dragon View Chinese Cuisine.  Tickets are at $35 (adult) and $28 (12 year old or below) available after Mass now.

 

LOFT Gets A Lift?    LOFT is growing up!  All young adults aged 19-35 are invited to meet on Sep 10 (Fri) to plan the next phase of LOFT as a young adult group in our parish.  If you are in this age group, please come to talk about how we can grow together in faith this year.  Contact Cathy 604-727-5675 lofters@gmail.com.

 

Liturgy of Word for Children    will resume on Sept 18 & 19.  Parents are encouraged to send their children to this liturgy service during Mass.

Children Catechism PREP in English   Classes for Gr. 1 - 7 will begin from Sep 15 (every Wednesday) from 7:00-8:15 p.m.  Please register as soon as possible.

 

   Youth Faith Formation Program (YFFP)

  ”Faith formation is lifelong,...and it takes a community

   to form young disciples” We’re now accepting Gr.8-

   12 registration for our YFFP starting  this September.

Project Advance    We are only $12,184 short of our goal.  Have you participated yet?  Please pledge in parish office during office hours.  Every gift makes a difference - every gift counts.

 

Mandarin Evangelization     “Catholic Friends” is inviting Mandarin speaking friends of our parishioners who would like starting to know God and our Catholic faith to a gathering on Sep 18 (Sat) at 6:30 p.m.  The theme is “Who is our neighbors?”  Please register after Mass.

 

Summer Sale   We thank you all donors and volunteers to support our sale last Saturday.  A total of $6,700 has been raised.

 

Parish Pastoral Council    will be held on Sep 17 (Fri) 7:30 p.m.  Please send at least one representative from each parish group.

 

Private Tuition   An Irish missionary family who has rich teaching experience can offer private full time tuition for English and Mandarin in Richmond.  Contact Parish Office.

 

Rectory Redevelopment Contract has been signed with Zagreb Construction Inc. Construction has started. Please keep the project in your prayer and donation is still welcome..

 

Parish Community Activities

Mandarin Conversation Class teaching everyday speaking skill and vocabulary Class will start on Sept. 7 (every Sat.) 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m.. Please register in advance at parish office in the morning or call Mabel at 604-808-9600 after 10:00 a.m.

 

The Catholic Bible Seminar - The Three Letters of John will be held on Sep 10-12 (Fri-Sun) at St. Mary’s Parish.  The presenter is Fr. Jim Nisbet from Spreckles, California.  Register at 604-882-9205 or refer to notice board.
