Along life's journey, many special animals will have touched our lives.
Here is our tribute to some of the special ones that we have known.

Ch. Inglis Fire Storm  WC CD

1993 - 2001

Storm was our very first Flat-Coat. Always enjoying life to the fullest,
Storm was an endless supply of energy, amusement and love.
Above all, he taught us the meaning of patience and humility,
 in true Flat-Coat style.
Storm was our introduction into the world of hunting and many
other aspects of the dog world in which we now compete.  Sadly,
Storm had to be put down just 2 weeks before his 8 th birthday due
to an unfortunate accident.  His legacy still lives on through his children
and grand children.  He is still deeply missed.

Ch. Inglis Northern Midnight Dream WC JH

1997 - 2007

Shiloh was our foundation female for our kennel.  Only bred once, Shiloh more
than proved herself in the whelping box.  She did however enjoy being a Grandma.
More often than not, Shiloh could be found in the whelping box helping out whenever
there was a litter.  When not busy being a Grandma, Shiloh could be found lazing
around on the bed or couch.  In her mind that is where life was meant to be lived,
except of course when it came to hunting season - this little girl lived to hunt.  Shiloh
managed to go out hunting twice before she passed away.  Happy Hunting dear girl !

         Ch. Solitude's Solar Eclipse

2003 - 2007

Copy was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.
She loved everything and everybody, but her first love was always
the cats.  Copy was an endless supply of energy, but she also loved
being a lap dog.  She is, and will continue to be missed very much.

Riker

Riker is the dad of both Shiloh and Bandit. Enjoying a fantastic show career,
Riker finished off 1999 by being named the " Number
  One Flat-Coat in Canada " .
Riker is enjoying his retirement, and
especially enjoys the afternoons that
he can go for a swim in his

favorite swimming hole.

Jayda

Jayda , one of Storm's daughters,  obtained a Best Puppy in Group placement at the
age of 10 months.  Later on, she easily went on to obtain her tracking  dog title.

As the foundation female at Northwood Kennels, Jayda has produced some very beautiful
puppies,  one of which, ( Bandit ), came back to live with us.

Rainbow Bridge Poem

Just this side of Heaven is a place called
      Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of
our special friends so
they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine,
and our friends are
warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been
 ill and old are restored
to health and vigor.

Those who were hurt or maimed
are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams
of days and times gone by.

The animals are happy and content,
except for one small thing;
they each miss someone very special to them,
who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together,
but the day comes when one suddenly
stops and looks into the distance.

His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers.
Suddenly he begins to run from the group,
flying over the green grass,
his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted,
and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion,
never to be parted again.

The happy kisses rain upon your face;
your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the
trusting eyes of your pet,
so long gone from your life but
never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
