SSFC Obedience Trials

SSFC is very proud to hold four trials in two days every year during a mid-September weekend. Exhibitors have the opportunity to complete their titles under two different judges. It is a wonderful weekend of comradeship, cozy and comfortable competition, and great sportsmanship. Our trials this year will be held on September 16 and 17, 2006 with two well-known and respected judges officiating. This year we look forward to offering the Pre Novice class along with the official classes.

What do you get when you cross obedience and music???
You get Freestyle Obedience!

Freestyle Obedience is an unofficial event which incorporates many obedience routines with choreographed presentation. There are three levels to this sport (Levels I, II and III) which differ in duration and necessary components. i.e., Level I - three minutes in length, exhibitor must do normal, slow and fast heeling; recall; 5 second sit stay, down stay and stand stay. Dogs in Level I must not jump. This event is judged by two judges based on the handler/dog team's technical and artistic ability. This is a wonderful sport to get into with your dog. It is fun to do and a great crowd pleaser.
