The Importance of Being Involved
    All of us, as Canadians, have the responsibility to speak up on current issues to affirm our core values.  As Christians, we are sometimes reluctant to stand up and be counted, for the fear of 'imposing our values on others'.  But in this democratic free society of Canada, everyone has the right to be heard. Most public issues usually have an ethical and spiritual component. It is important that we encourage one another to let our elected representatives know what we are really thinking. When done with love and respect, our views are usually more than welcome.
