07.06.07: A demo recording of Maria's "Newcomers' Song" is now posted on the Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers website at
www.emcn.ab.ca. EMCN commissioned the song from Maria to celebrate their 25th Anniversary in 2006.
Their impressive work in helping refugees and immigrants new to the Edmonton area made the song a pleasure and privilege to write.
The track you'll hear was recorded and engineered in the summer of 2006 by friend and musician Dave Clarke at his home studio. Dave's lovely lead guitar work can be heard on the track.
