RUBY LAKE LAGOON
ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE
In June 2007 Stewart Stinson spent seven days as artist-in-residence at the Iris Griffith Interpretive Centre. Each day of his painting revolved around the study of one of the Centre’s seven main exhibits: Wetlands, Pacific Salmon, Caren Range, Sustainable Living, Small Scale Discovery, Walking Trails, and Aquariums. Twenty one painted images were created throughout the week, using acrylic paint on recycled plywood and lumber scrap. The paintings now belong to the Centre, for use in displays, promotional materials, or fundraising sales.
