REGULAR EVENTS

  • Knottwood Tots is a community playgroup for little ones with their parents or caregivers. This happens every Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and includes play time, snacks, stories, music crafts and a chance for the adults to visit. All are welcome.
  • God Talk table in the parish hall is the place for an informal discussion group during the coffee hour after regular worship. A list of questions is available at the table. All are welcome to join.
  • Cell Groups are small discussion groups held in people's homes. Contact the church office for more information.
  • Anointing and prayer for healing will be offered before and after communion at the 10 a.m. service and after the 8:30 service on the first Sunday of the month.
  • Prayer Group, under the leadership of Dr. Jane Leifer, is a contemplative group, held approximately once a month. Contact the church office for meeting times. This is an opportunity to be still and deepen our spirituality. There is no charge for this group, but donations to cover expenses are welcome.
  • Stitch or Not happens on the first and third Wednesday of the month from 1 to 3 p.m. All are welcome to come for informal conversation. Bring a handicraft project if you wish.
  • The Quilting Group is for beginner and experienced quilters held on the second and fourth Friday of the month at 7 p.m. from September to June.
  • The Men's Group meets for breakfast on the fourth Saturday of the month at Ricky's Grill, 6108 - 28 Avenue.
  • We are a depot for a Bread Run on most Saturdays at 4 p.m. A community volunteer brings almost expired bread and baked goods to give away to all who wish.
  • Vestry, the governing body of the church, meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. from September to June.
  • Choir with adult and youth members, practises Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. from September to June. This group leads worship; usually on the second Sunday of the month.
  • The Sunday School meets at the beginning of the 10 a.m. service most Sundays from September to early June. This is suitable for children from 3 1/2 up to Grade 6.
  • The Youth Group meets at the beginning of the 10 a.m. service about 3 Sundays per month for discussion, snacks and games. This is suitable for those in junior and senior high school.
  • Leprechaun Lunch an informal lunch is held on the second Wednesday of the month, with optional games to follow. All are welcome.
