PARISH EVENTS

SPECIAL EVENTS

  • You are invited to attend Summer Coffee House evenings at St. Patrick’s on July 11th and 25th and on August 8th and 22nd. It takes place each evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Come and enjoy a coffee and a muffin for $2.00.
  • We are scheduled to provide lunch for Habitat For Humanity workers/volunteers on July 27th, August 17th, and September 21st. If you can help out with providing something homemade (e.g. salad, main dish, dessert) for lunch, please call the office at 780-463-5452 to let them know what you are able to bring. As well, please call the office for more detailed information.

REGULAR EVENTS

  • Knottwood Tots is a community playgroup for little ones with their parents or caregivers. This happens every Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and includes play time, snacks, stories, music crafts and a chance for the adults to visit. All are welcome.
  • God Talk table in the parish hall is the place for an informal discussion group during the coffee hour after regular worship. A list of questions is available at the table. All are welcome to join.
  • The Prayer Chain is a group of parishioners who offer prayer support for anyone in need. Contact the church office for more information.
  • Cell Groups are small discussion groups held in people's homes. Contact the church office for more information.
  • Anointing and prayer for healing will be offered before and after communion at the 10 a.m. service and after the 8:30 service on the first Sunday of the month.
  • The Prayer Group is a contemplative group, held on a Wednesday about once a month. This is an opportunity to be still and deepen our spirituality. Contact the church office for information on the next session.
  • Stitch or Not happens on the first and third Wednesday of the month from 1 to 3 p.m. All are welcome to come for informal conversation. Bring a handicraft project if you wish.
  • The Quilting Group is for beginner and experienced quilters held on the Tuesday night, twice a month. Contact the church office for information on the next session.
  • The Men's Group meets for breakfast on the fourth Saturday of the month at Saratoga Restaurant, 2610 Calgary Trail.
  • Vestry, the governing body of the church, meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. from September to June.
  • Choir with adult and youth members, practises Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. from September to June. This group leads worship; usually on the second Sunday of the month.
  • The Sunday School meets at the beginning of the 10 a.m. service most Sundays from September to early June. This is suitable for children from 3 1/2 up to Grade 6.
  • The Youth Group meets at the beginning of the 10 a.m. service about 3 Sundays per month for discussion, snacks and games. This is suitable for those in junior and senior high school.
  • Leprechaun Lunch an informal lunch is held on the second Wednesday of the month, with optional games to follow. All are welcome.
