As a software developer it has been my fortune to have worked in a fascinating array
of scientific environments including:
Upon arriving in BC in 1994, I immediately became caught up in the WWW Wave.
-
I did billing software development for one of the largest and most visible
ISP start-ups in BC (Wimsey).
- When Wimsey (and eight other Canadian
ISPs) were bought out by iSTAR (now inter.net)
I continued with billing software and began writing cgi scripts and dabbling in web design.
- Later I began developing software for an e-commerce start up,
E-xact Transactions which went public
during my stay.
- I then spent some time as a web production manager and developer
working on a Suite of Numerology Sites which became WhenToBet.com.
- Later, I became involved with
the nuts and bolts of a vast software package, which constituted the web-based
communications products offered by POPstar.
- With Solara Technologies, a start up Provider of Remote Management and Electronic Commerce for Vending Machines, where I covered a large range of their needs such as Developing Management Software, Web Programming and Design and Technicla Writing.
- More recently, I did some design and developing and server administration for Samco Software Inc, which offers Business to Business accounting and inventory solutions.
I will also mention that I am a fast and effective Multi-disciplinary Artist with experience including Illustration, Web-Design, Poster and Brochure camera ready art, some flash animation, portraiture and fine art.
