The typical steps to get ucon going are as follows: 1. Install "ucon terminal" into: "C:\Program Files\ucon\" 2. Copy my "NimbleSigIIIuCom.ct" file into the:"C:\Program Files\ucon\config" directory 3. Create a special shortcut on the desktop for starting "C:\Program Files\ucon\ucon.exe". I do this with the usual "highlight, right-click and drag" to the desktop with the mouse method. 4. Make sure the shortcut will in fact start "ucon" and then close "ucon" for now. 5. Right click the newly made "ucon" shortcut and select properties. 6. Select the Shortcut tab. See attachment. 7. Add "..\ucon\config\NimbleSigIIIuCom.ct" to the Target entry. You need to end up with the entry shown in #8 below in the Target: entry box: 8. "C:\Program Files\ucon\ucon.exe" ..\ucon\config\NimbleSigIIIuCom.ct 9. The Start in: entry box should be: "C:\Program Files\ucon\ucon.exe" 10. Shortcut key: None 11. Run: Normal Window 12. Comment: left empty ie blank This shortcut should now start uCon as shown in the attached screen shot. You of course will need to configure it for the COM port you are using. This is done via the menu bar Config>BackEnd>COM Port selection where you select your com port, baud rate of 115.2K, 8N1 and no Flow control. ie everything else blank. Then press F2 or mouse click the F2 button and you should get the DDS register dump.
