Tadpole Farm is an eight-acre property on the South Thompson river, about 30 KM east of sunny Kamloops, BC.

Tadpole Farm is involved in a number of equestrian activities, mainly devoted to show-jumping. Amy Dundas Head rode and trained and taught here until her death in a tragic accident on June 12, 2003. Her parents, Tim and Gail Dundas, continue to operate the farm, with assistance from brother Mathew.

At the time of her death, her competition stable included the open jumper Rembrandt , a 17hh Slovakian bred warm blood gelding, back into competition after an injury in 2002, Fan's Asia. (daughter of Fantasia) , 15.2hh , “as brave as six bears” and winning at 4’6”, who has since given us two beautiful fillies by Menuhin (Irish Sport Horse) by Sea Crest (RID), 1998 stallion who won the novice horse championship at his first show in Kelowna recently and is now in Karen Cudmore's stable and showing his talent as a jumper. Blarney Stone, a powerful 1996 Irish Sport Horse (by Flagmount King) who in his first year with Amy, was winning at 4’ and expected to move up to 4’6” at the end of the season. Amy’s former notable competition horses included Paloma, Cadenza, Fantasia, and Flying Colours.

We are just a four hour drive from Vancouver, BC under good road conditions . Take the Coquihalla Toll Highway from Hope to Kamloops. Then continue on the Trans-Canada (#1) to the La Farge Exit North over the river. You'll find us 5 kms east of the bridge on the west side of Teal Rd, off the old Shuswap road, just 1 km east of the Rivershore Golf Club.
