He was ridden in the Twin Oaks Derby Show in Richmond (BC) Aug 7-10 2003, by Carla Diewert, after Amy was killed in an accident. He gained three ribbons including a 1ST place. Carla also rode him at Wildwood Show Calgary Aug 20-24, where he placed in the Grand Prix. He showed at the Spruce Meadows Masters in September 2003. He did not place, but showed that he was fit and well and jumping with his previous form. The third day he was ridden by Kyle King in both the 4’3” and 4’6” classes, and in the latter he was able to show that he was still capable of a strong performance at this level.

In November 2003 he went into training with world ranked rider Richard Spooner, in Burbank, California. Richard rode him at the Indio Desert circuit I-III in January/February 2004. Here he won a Level 9 Open speed class, and place 3rd with a double clear round in the PCHA Classic, and had several other placings.

In March 2004, with a talented young German Universities rider, Sebastian Haag, he showed at the Spruce Meadows indoor winter series, winning an open 1.3m open class and placing at 1.35m.
