Inspiration

Inspiration can take many forms: other's work, real archetecture / buildings, or random stuff that happens to catch the eye. On this page I have gathered some examples of the things that inspire me to build terrain and play the games.

Table top gaming is a very visual activity, I often get ideas for things just by walking around town. Certain places like alleys and industrial areas are ripe with features that belong in any urban / future terrain. (pictures coming in a future update, in the meantime check out the links section).

There are certain movies that everyone who plays wargames of any kind should see, visit your local video store and check them out.

Some Pictures

this is a Molson refinery near downtown Vancouver. Things like this make good industrial refrences, note the pipes and valves along the sides of the Vats.

This is a picture of a plastic toy soldier set I played with as a kid. It was really amazing, complete with pop-up buildings, lots of vehicles, a war mat to make it look real. I wish I could find something half as nice today.

These are some pictures I took while walking around some local back alleys looking for parts (dumpster diving).
My only find on this excursion was a sesame street wind up ernie toy with lots of gears and bells inside, perfect for mechanized / tech bits.
