The Lutheran Triad is a tribe of Earth, now known as Dark Eden. Dark Eden is a polluted, used and abandoned world. Mankind (the lucky and rich anyway) have left the planet to live in more hospitable and profitable environments like the terraformed planets and asteroids of the inner solar system.

The Lutheran Triad has adapted ancient scripture and holy writings, twisting them into a modern, post-apocalyptic explaination of their war-torn, polluted, extremely dangerous reality.
