"Maybe you can help me here. Many years ago I picked up the attached graphic on the internet. Do you know anything about him?"

Answer

As for your question about the graphic,

1. Go to Http://www.altavista.com

2. Click on the word "image" just above the search box

3. Click "Advanced" beside the Search button

4. Enter "BEAR-1" in the Search box

5. Check mark "Graphics, Color, The Web" and delete the check marks from the other selections

6. Click on the "Search" button

7. I get 14 matches and the graphic you sent is there and linked to a website

8. Web site owner was emailed but did not know the source for the graphic

The bear was drawn with a computer software program, but I do not recognize the bear itself.
