THE GOOD NEWS MINISTRY AND MISSIONS OUTREACH PROCLAIMING THE GOOD NEWS OF THE SOON RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST!
Revealing The Millions That Will Be Missing!
According to the Reader's Digest Association, it has been estimated that in the United States today, about ten million persons are reported missing during the course of a single year. About ninety-five percent of them return home within hours or days, but the remaining five percent vanish forever. Teenagers constitute the largest group of "vanishees." Gravitating to larger cities, they are usually swallowed up by a wretched underworld. Among missing adults, an increasing percentage are women.
One wonders about the motives of a person disappearing. Could it be the shadowy connections with criminals and the resulting risks of knowing too much or perhaps the beckoning of adventure, the cutting of old ties, or the wish to escape unwanted responsibilities? The fact of disappearing and leaving no trail is difficult indeed, but it has been done - many times!
The Greatest Of all Disappearences
Strange as this is, let me tell you of a disappearance that was planned ages ago and is soon to take place. In magnitude, it will be the greatest! It will be world-wide and involve millions! The day after it happens, the whole world will be aware of it!
It will capture newspaper headlines and will be the dominant theme of newscasters. Those who disappear will never be seen on earth again until the Second Coming of Christ. There will be no "good-byes," for they who will vanish have no idea when this phenomenal event will occur, but they are presently aware that it is very near!
The first person to reveal this coming event was the Lord Jesus Christ. He said, "In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." (John 14:2,3)
The Lord's Promise
The Lord said, "I will come again." What did he mean by that? He simply meant that He was coming to take all the Christians out of this earthly scene, home to the Father's house above. He speaks of it as "the resurrection of life" (John 5:29). In other words, all genuine, True and Faithful Bible believing Christians will be snatched away.
No man knows the time of the coming of Christ. It may be next year, it may be tomorrow. No one knows. Jesus said that He didn't know. The angels don't know. Only God knows the hour and the time of the coming of Jesus Christ back to this world again. But Christ did leave certain signs, and He said, "When these things begin to come to pass, lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh" (Luke 21:28).
I sincerely believe, if I can study the Scriptures aright and read current events, that we are living in the latter days. I believe that the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
Jesus said, "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away: so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left" (Matthew 24:37-41).
The leaders of the True Christian Church believed in the Second Coming of Christ:
John Wesley said, "The spirit in the heart of the true believer says with earnest desire, Come, Lord Jesus.'"
D. L. Moody said, "I never preach a sermon without thinking that possibly the Lord might use that sermon to call out the last of the saints who should go to make up the full number of God's elect and to bring about the Lord's coming."
Dr. G. Campbell Morgan, the great British Bible teacher, said, "I never begin my work in the morning without thinking that perhaps He may interrupt my work and begin His own. I am not looking for death. I am looking for Him."
Deliverence Or Deception?
If you are not saved when the Lord comes - you will be hopelessly lost! After all The True and Faithful Bible Believing Christians "disappear," the man of sin, Antichrist, will immediately arise. The Lord will shut the door of salvation upon you (read Matthew 25:10-12, Luke 13:24-30).
There will be no True Christians to turn to, for they will all be in Heaven. God will allow you to be deceived. Antichrist, after the working of "Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders" will cause you to believe the lie that he is God - that you might "be damned" (II Thessalonians 2:4, 9-12). Ultimately, your end will be the lake of fire, to be punished for your sins eternally (Revelation 20:15).
Oh, dear soul, in view of such a tragedy, flee to Christ now while there is yet time. "God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). "The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1 John 1:7). Accept Him as your Saviour and you will be able to say, "Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come" (1 Thessalonians 1:10).
God help you to trust Him now, before it's too late - for He is coming - SOON!
Let Us Pray Together--
PRAY: "God be merciful to me a sinner. Receive me now for Christ's sake. Cleanse me from my sin by your precious blood, shed on the cross for me; lead me to be Baptized and fill me with your Holy Spirit. Teach me to pray each day; to read Your will for my life from your word, the Bible; and help me to worship and serve You in the fellowship of your church. I thank you Lord Jesus Christ. AMEN!
