Who could have imagined a few years ago that we would be able to sit in our homes and watch international conflicts take place right in front of us at the moment that they happen? We are instantly transported from New York City to Washington, D.C. to London to Moscow to Jerusalem to Baghdad in a matter of seconds. And this is probably a microcosm of things to come. The stage is now set for the Final Prophetic Signs of the End Times. Changes and developments are happening so fast that we are speeding headlong toward the greatest crisis the world has ever known. Every new turn of events reminds us that "Armageddon" could be just around the corner. Along the highway, signs are used to identify locations, provide information, and give warnings. The same is true of Prophetic Signs. They stand out on the biblical horizon to get our attention. They give us a glimpse of things to come, only a glimpse. These Signs are not intended to give all the details of future events, yet they do play a prominent role in Biblical Prophecy. As we consider these Prophetic Signs, it's important to recognize a key distinction. On the one hand, Scripture tells us that our Lord will come like "a thief in the night" (I Thessalonians 5:2). His coming will occur suddenly, instantly, in the "twinkling of an eye" (I Corinthians 15:52). It will happen so fast that there will be no warning signs preceding His coming. The world will be caught by surprise when our Lord comes for His bride. The True Bible Believing Church will be Raptured to glory, and all Apostates and Unbelievers will be "Left Behind." On the other hand, the Bible warns us: "There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the seas. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory" (Luke 21:25-27). These warning signs clearly have to do with Christ's return in judgement on an unbelieving world. They will occur toward the end of the Great Tribulation. Therefore, as we examine these "Prophetic Signs" we must remind ourselves that most of them will take place after the Rapture of the True Bible Believing Church.
