And the Angel said unto them,  "Fear Not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the Ahgel a multidute of heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highestand on earth peace, good will toward men" (Luke 2:10-14)

Suddenly after the angel announced our Saviour's birth, the great heavenly choir, an army, a multitude of angels, began praising God and singing, the sweetest, most glorious hymn this world has ever heard!  "Glory to God in the highest" was the first division of this celestial song.

There are three stanzas in this one hymn.  The first and the foremost in thought is, "Glory to God in the highest." The angels were singing about Jesus who was born in a manger.  They sang of His salvation which He came into the world to work out.  They said that His salvation gave glory to God in the Highest That Salvation is God's highest glory.

God is glorified in every dew drop that twinkles in the morning sun.

He is glorified by the morning sun rise.  He is magnified by every flower that blossoms.  He is glorified in every bird and every lamb that skips the mead.  All created things extol him.

David said, in the Psalms, "PRAISE ye the Lord.  Praise ye the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the heights.  Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts' Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.  Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created.  He hath also established them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass. Praise the Lord from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word: Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying, fowl: Kings of the, earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: Both young men, and maidens, old men, and children: Let them praise the name of the Lord for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth. and heaven. He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him.  Praise ye the Lord." (Psalms.148)

PRAISE ye the Lord.  Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.  Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.  Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Here we see all created things extol Him.  Is there on lit beneath the sky, save man, that does not glorify God?  "The heavens declare the glory of God;; and the firmament  sheweth his handiwork." (Psalms. 19:1)

Though the creation be in the majestic organ of praise it cannot reach the compass of the golden, glorious Incarnation.  There is more in that than the creation of the earth and all the heavenly bodies.  More melody in Jesus in the manger than there is in the worlds on worlds, ruling their grandeur around the throne of the most High.

God becomes man that God may be just and the justifier of the ungodly.  Lo' what power, where is power so great as when it conceals power?  Behold, what love is revealed to us when Jesus becomes a man.  "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not." (John 1:10)

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)

"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." (2 Cor.5:19)

"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." (Isaiah.7:14.)

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." (I Tim.3:16)

"Glory to God in the highest," was an old, old song, they had sung before the foundation of the world.  But now they sing it as though it were a new song before the throne of God.  For they added this stanza, "On earth peace." They did not sing the last stanza in the Eden.  There was peace there but only  for only a short time, then the fall of man.

Since the fall of man, wars have raged from one end of the world to the other.  It is estimated that nearly fifteen billion people have been killed in wars since the fall of man.  That is three times the present population of the world today.  Some one has said, "Over a million gallons of tears have been shed since the fall of man."

While the nations of the world are at war with each other, the children of God have a deep settled peace in their hearts.  Jesus said to His children, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27.)

Again He said, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.  In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee." (Isaiah. 26:3)

While all true Christians have peace in their hearts, there is no peace in the world today.

Never in the history of the world has there been as much trouble as there is today.

There is only One who can bring Peace to this World, His name is: "JESUS".

He is the Living Stone which the builders rejected. (See Matt. 21:42) He is the only one who can calm the storm and bring peace to this troubled world. (See Mark 4:39)

For nearly two thousand years the church has prayed, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, as in heaven so in earth."

Hundreds of millions of Christians have prayed this prayer since the days of Christ on earth.  Will this prayer be answered?  Would our Lord tell us to pray for something He would not grant?  No, my Friend, every True Prayer that is prayed will be answered.  But the kingdom of God will never be set up on this earth, and God's will be done, until Satan is bound.  The devil is not bound now, he is living in the heart of most of the people in this world today.

Jesus called Satan the prince or ruler of this world. (See John 12:31 and John 14:30)Paul calls him the prince, or the power of the air.  (See Eph. 2:2.)

John saw these demon spirits, or devils, working through the kings of the whole world preparing them for the battle of Armageddon.  (See Rev. 16:14-15.)

The devil knows that he has a short time to work, so he is working with all of his might in the world today.  He is the author of sin and death, sickness and disease.

He is the author of Wars, broken hearts and broken homes. He brought death upon all the human race.  When Jesus died upon the cross of Calvary he destroyed the power of the devil.  Jesus killed death with death.

Thank God death is dead.  "Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham." (Heb. 2:14-16.)

Soon the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples to pray nineteen hundred years ago will be answered.

The Glorious Kingdom of Christ will be set up on earth.  "His will shall be done on earth as in heaven." Before that comes to pass there are certain future events that must take place.

The Lord will call His true saints out of this world before this bloody holocaust comes upon all the world.  Speaking of the resurrection of the saints and the rapture of the church, the Lord said through the prophet Isaiah, "Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise.  Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the Lord cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain." (Isaiah. 26:19-21)

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words." (I Thess. 4:16-18)

In the New Testament we are told more than three hundred times that Jesus Christ is coming back to this earth again.  First He is coming for His people. -second He is coming .  with His people.  After our Lord comes for His people the... Antichrist will be revealed.  He will be the false Messiah whom the Jewish nation will accept.

He will make a covenant with the nation of Israel for one week which is a week of years, or Daniel's seventieth week. (See Dan. 9:27)

In the midst of the week he breaks the covenant and sets up his image in the temple and demands that all the world worship this beast. (See Rev. 13)

In this chapter we see both the Roman False Prophet and the Roman Antichrist.  The Antichrist will rule for only a short time.  At the close of Daniel's seventieth week, Jesus Christ the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Alpha and Omega, will come down from heaven with a shout, and every eye shall see Him.

"Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also, which pierced him and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him.  Even so, Amen."

"I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.  And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."(Daniel 7:13-14)

" WHO IS THIS THAT COMETH FROM EDOM, with dyed garments from Bozrah?  This that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength?  I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.  And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth." (Isaiah. 63:1-6)

The apostle John saw Him coming in a vision.  "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.  And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
(Rev. 1:11-16)

Here our Lord fights the battle alone.  The next great event is the binding of Satan.  "AND I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.  And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they that sat upon them, and judgement was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his a , neither had received his  mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."
(Rev. 20:1-4)

0', glorious day when Jesus shall reign, That day is soon coming Paul said, "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal  life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. I give thee charge in the sight of Goa, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall and only shew who is blessed and only Potentate, the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords: Who only hath immortality dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting.  Amen."
(I Tim. 6:12-16)

We will sing the song of the Redeemed. (See Rev. 5:9-12) Again (Rev. 15th Chapter.)  All wars will come to an end.  Today the Nations of the World are proclaiming war, beating their plough shares, swords and pruning hooks, that is their iron and steel, to make implements of war. (See Joel 3:9-13)

When Jesus reigns, Nations shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
(See Isaiah. 2:4, also Isaiah. 11:4-9)

Christ will have dominion from sea to sea and to the ends of the earth!  Every kingdom will be broken.  Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess Him as King of kings and Lord of lords. "For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea." (Habakkuk 2:14)

The prayer Jesus taught His disciples to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be as in heaven  so in earth," will be answered.  The heavenly anthem the angels sang, "Glory to God in the  highest, on earth peace, good will to men," will be fulfilled, in that time when Christ returns'

Dear Friend , are you ready for His coming?

"Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." (Matt. 24:44) Amen!

Let Us Pray Together--

PRAY: "God be merciful to me a sinner. Receive me now for Christ's sake. Cleanse me from my sin by your precious blood, shed on the cross for me; lead me to be Baptized and fill me with your Holy Spirit. Teach me to pray each day; to read Your will for my life from your word, the Bible; and help me to worship and serve You in the fellowship of your church. I thank you Lord Jesus Christ. AMEN!
