Random Throop Findings
Pauline Throop February 11, 2009
CONNERSVILLE, Ind. -- Pauline Throop, 77, of
Connersville, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at her
residence.
Born July 1, 1931, in Owsley County, Ky., to Ottis and Hattie
Mays Ross, she had worked in the Ford/Visteon cafeteria for many
years.
Survivors include a daughter, Paula Roszell; sons, Charles,
Daniel, David and Robert Throop; brothers, Robert and Paul Ross;
sister, Shirley Banks.
Her
husband, David, died Dec. 28, 2003.
Service
will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Urban Winkler Funeral Home, Connersville,
with visitation 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Thursday.

Ralph Thomas Throop Sr., 86, of Mango, Fla.,
passed from this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 8. He was
preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Aileen Roberts Throop. He
was also preceded in death by his parents, John and Sarah Ashford Throop;
a brother, Jackie; a brother-in-law, Stewart Bender; and a granddaughter,
Michelle Stilp. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Hazel Anita
Roberts Throop, Mango, Fla.; two daughters, Sarah L. Price (Dale); and
Brenda J. Meli (Salvatore); son, John H. Throop (Laurie), all from
Wilkes-Barre; Ralph T. Throop, Jr. (JoAnna), Tampa, Fla.; and a sister,
Nancy Throop Bender, Laurel Run. Ralph (Pop Pop) leaves behind 15
grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all
of whom he loved dearly, but hunting and fishing were his
passion.
He served his country in the U.S. Coast
Guard during World War II. He was the honorary Chief of Police in Laurel
Run after his father’s death. He worked as a laborer in several companies
in the Wilkes-Barre area. He was a member of Sugar Notch Church of Christ,
Palm River of Tampa and was currently a member of Seffner Church of Christ
of Seffner, Fla.
A memorial service will take place Saturday at 5
p.m., with visitation at 4 p.m., at Wilkes-Barre Township Fire Hall,
Watson Street, Wilkes-Barre Township. In lieu of flowers, please
send donations to LifePath Hospice, Development Department, 12937 N.
