Stanley Coville, 96 Stanley David Coville, a retired market gardener and farmer, died December 3 at Brockville General Hospital after a five-week illness. He was 96. He was born May 4, 1907, at Fairfield to Gilford Coville and Grace Brown Coville. He was raised on the Bisseltown Road outside of Brockville and educated at Read's School. He married Lela Baker December 3, 1930 in Maynard. Mr. Coville had been retired for 30 years. He was affiliated with Bethel United Church and a member of St. James Masonic Lodge No. 74, Augusta, for over 60 years and was a past master. He enjoyed fishing and duck hunting when his health and eyesight permitted. He also liked helping friends and neighbours with carpentry, plumbing, roofing and driving tractors. He helped keep the lodge in good repair during its early days and helped build the Bethel United Church hall. When he sold his farm, he moved to Brockville to live with his daughter and son-in-law but spent every summer at his cottage on Snow Road, where he enjoyed receiving visitors. Mr. Coville was predeceased by his parents, wife and brother Gordon Coville. He is survived by his daughter June Pattenden and her husband, Ken, of Brockville, step-grandchildren Carol Baker and her husband Jim of Brockville, Christine McLaughlin and her husband Terry of Kingston and Gary Pattenden and his wife, Sue, of Lansdowne, and four step great-grandchildren. The funeral was December 6 at the Barclay Chapel with Rev. Mark Arnill of Bethel United Church officiating. Interment followed at Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mel Campbell, Mike
Knapp, Charlie Knapp, Dave Gill, Ralph Deir and Gary
