Hello, my name is Patricia Boratto. I am a wife, a mother of two children
and a Child Care Provider. Growing
up in a home that had an active family childcare operation in place (20+ years),
I can safely say I love to be around children of any age; we were always
encouraged to participate in the daily schedule at the family childcare in one
form or another (i.e. reading stories or playing with the children). I am a very nurturing and patient
caregiver who genuinely enjoys being around children; to be able to share in
their day to day experiences, to see the world through their eyes, to be able to
share in their laughter and wonder is a very special gift and this is how I have
chosen to spend my time.
Because I enjoy being around children, I have always known that one
day I would open a family childcare in my own home. After the birth of my second child,
A Tiny Seed Child Care was born.
I feel the homelike atmosphere of a family childcare is so beneficial
to young children when a parent is unable (due to different circumstances such
as work or school) to care for their child(ren) themselves. It is an environment where children are
given the opportunity to learn through play, as well as one that introduces them
to new activities they may not have discovered on their own. The quality care a child receives
at a family childcare helps to foster positive – emotional, social, cognitive
and physical development in a fun and safe manner. By having a small group of children, I
am able to provide a spontaneous and flexible program with emphasis on sharing
and helping. I am able to get to
know your child(ren) more intimately, as well as provide more one on one loving
attention, encouragement and guidance to your child(ren), not only in a group
setting but also on an individual basis.
I have and continue to attend seminars and workshops in the
childcare field (including 'Introduction to Family Child Care'). I
maintain current Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR Certification. I
am also a Registered L.N.R. Family Child Care with the Y.M.C.A.
Tri-Cities C.C.R.R.
My
goal is to provide quality care for your child(ren) in partnership with
you, the Parent(s). I welcome the opportunity to get to know
you and your child and believe that open communication is vital to any
successful relationship.
Sincerely,
