The Chosen Path

Conjuration, transformation,
      Even prestidigitation;
Incantation, necromancy,
      Mystic brews, illusion.

Alchemy, philosophy,
      Elemental energy;
Mind control, telepathy,
      Stark invisibility.

Cast a spell, spawn of hell
      Coming from a wishing well;
Pentagram, do or die,
      Teleport, transmogrify.

Lucky charm, magic wand,
      Alternate dimension bond;
Power runes, gnarled staff,
      Lode stone, two-headed calf.

Analyze demon eyes,
      Wear a magical disguise;
Crystal ball, magic ring,
      Flying on a dragon's wing.

Build a wall, never fall,
      Was it really worth it all?
Soul is black, can't go back,
      Starting to slip through the crack.

Lonely days, in a haze,
      Feels like I am in a maze;
Danger zone, dry as bone,
      Guess I'm going to die alone.
